about
This is an advance release of a song from Ryan Michael Galloway's "All Dressed Up" CD, due out in Q1 of 2013. The song is considered by some to be the "signature track" of the album, and was co-produced by Ron Logan in his personal studio. It contains some of Mr. Galloway's most dramatic singing, to date. While the title suggests this is a praise and worship piece, it is much more of a morality tale. There is little religious content, with the exception of the inspiration for the title.
lyrics
Kingdom Power Glory
Words and Music by
Ryan Michael Galloway
I’m standing out here on my own
On the edge of your universe
I don’t mean to cast stones
But I can’t think of anything worse
Than to watch you light up the sky
As your world explodes
Everyone has to die
But supernovas die alone
Kingdom, Power, Glory
That’s what you’re reaching for, baby
I can win your love, but it’s temporary
What you really want is Kingdom, Power, Glory
How will you know when you get there?
Will you steer everything to its end?
What will you hold when you don’t care?
Will you have left one single friend?
You can think you pull every string
But there’s one that dangles you
And there are no words left to sing
No angle to pursue
Kingdom, Power, Glory
You want to write your whole story
I can hold your gaze, but you’ll soon turn from me
‘Cause what you’re looking for is Kingdom, Power, Glory
